The City of Beverly Hills continues to provide high-quality, reliable drinking water to our community! 💧🙌

Each year, we release a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) sharing the most recent full year of water quality data. The 2025 CCR reflects testing and data collected during 2025, which is why it’s labeled 2025 (the 2026 report will be released next year once this year’s data is complete)

To help explain what’s in the report, the Department of Public Works has created this short video to help educate residents and can also be viewed at beverlyhill.org/ReThinkBHTap.

To view the full 2025 Consumer Confidence Report on July 1, 2026, visit beverlyhills.org/waterqualityreports.

If you would like a printed copy of the report, please call (310) 285-1000 or email [email protected].

At last night’s City Council Meeting, Mayor Corman and City Council recognized June as Pride Month to honor the many individuals who have fought for equality, and to reaffirm our commitment to create a more inclusive and welcoming community for all. This year, Brian Sonia-Wallace, a nationally acclaimed poet and LGBTQIA+ advocate, known for composing spontaneous poems on his 1938 Re*****on typewriter, was selected to accept the City of Beverly Hills’ Pride Month proclamation.

City Council also honored the 39 years of public service of retiring City Manager, Nancy Hunt-Coffey. Nancy joined the City of Beverly Hills in 2008 as Assistant Director of Community Services and made history in 2023 as the first female City Manager. Prior to joining Beverly Hills, Nancy dedicated more than two decades of service to the City of Glendale, where she held several leadership positions, including Director of the Glendale Library.

Congratulations Nancy on the well-deserved retirement!

Captain Max Subin, a 27-year veteran of the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD), has been promoted to Chief of Police effective June 27, 2026.

“I am very pleased that Max will be leading the department he has served for almost three decades,” said incoming City Manager Ryan Gohlich. “Max has built incredibly strong relationships throughout Beverly Hills and, as a longtime member of the department, shares our community values and understands what makes BHPD so special.”

Subin joined the Beverly Hills Police Department in 1999 and has held positions in Patrol, Crime Suppression, the Detective Bureau, Community Relations and the Professional Standards unit. He was named a Captain in 2021 and currently oversees the Administrative Services Division which includes Personnel, Records, Communications and Budget.

“I am thankful to Ryan, the City Council, members of BHPD and the community for the support and trust they have placed in me,” said Subin. “I am proud and humbled to work with the dedicated members of this department and pledge that the safety of this City will always be priority number one.”

As Chief, Subin will lead a department of 154 sworn and 112 civilian staff.

He earned both his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge. He also attended the California Police Chiefs Executive Leadership Institute at the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University in 2021. Subin succeeds Chief Mark Stainbrook who is retiring on June 26 after almost five years with the City of Beverly Hills.

Last night, Mayor Corman, Vice Mayor Wells, Councilmember Nazarian, and the Public Works Sustainability Team recognized 21 businesses that have joined the City of Beverly Hills’ Green Business Program. The businesses demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community leadership. 🌴✨

The Beverly Hills Green Business Program was created to help local businesses reduce waste, conserve resources, and operate more sustainably while strengthening our local economy. ♻️

As part of the program, businesses must complete a checklist of measures that address items such as water efficiency, energy conservation, waste reduction, recycling, and pollution prevention among other measures. Throughout the process, the City’s Green Business Coordinators provide free technical assistance and helpful resources for applicants.

To be eligible, businesses must be in the City of Beverly Hills and have a current City business license that complies with all City and County ordinances. Interested applicants can apply by visiting beverlyhills.org/greenbusiness.
