As we approach Memorial day, the Beverly Veteran Service Office and Veterans Council would like to acknowledge the words of Beverly Resident and Marine Corporal, Jim Maciak. He recently spoke to the students of Masconomet Regional High School and expanded their vocabulary by teaching them the word "Athazagoraphobia"- the immense fear of being forgotten.

He shared that as difficult and somber as this holiday is, it is a necessary reminder of the sacrifice that is required to ensure our safety and our freedom. This holiday ensures that their legacy of honor, bravery, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

Beverly Veteran Council President and Vice President were recognized at the State House yesterday for Military Appreciation Day. Governor Healey recognized 136 honorees and presented them with an official citation and a challenge coin. Congrats Chuck and Cory and thank you for all you do for the Veterans of Beverly.

Save the date! The Replica Vietnam Memorial Wall will be in Beverly from 7/29-8/2. Throughout that week we will have various events to get engaged with the veteran community and pay respect to the Wall. Please save the date, share, and spread the word! See you there!

8/1/2026 Vintage Car show, Veterans Cookout, and Ricky Lee Concert at Beverly High School. There will be live music with a DJ during the carshow and cookout, family fun to include animals and activities for kids. We will also be doing 2 raffles, a 50/50 and a raffle for Red Sox tickets! Cant wait to see you there!
