Last night, I had the honor of speaking before the Converse City Council in support of Proclamation 748, authorizing the naming of the Converse Municipal Complex in honor of Mayor Al Suarez.
As a lifelong resident of Converse, this moment was especially meaningful. Mayor Suarez has played a significant role in the growth and success of our city, and his legacy deserves to be remembered for generations to come.
I shared these words with the Council:
“When future generations walk through the doors of this Municipal Complex, they should know the name of the man who helped shape the city we call home. They should know about the veteran, the public servant, the community leader, and the Mayor who dedicated so much of his life to making Converse a better place.”
Thank you to all the Councilmembers that voted in favor of this.
