This was the brainchild of Bryan Drewry, and after a couple of years, and in partnership with The Bexley Community Foundation, quite a bit of coordination with The City of Bexley, Ohio, and hours of work among a few of our dedicated trustees, we are ecstatic to bring some of Edie Mae's artwork to Main Street! As you drive by our fantastic banners, let us know what you think! They'll be on display through the first week of September.

The Main Street Banners, featuring the artwork of the Bexley Historical Society founder, Edie Mae Herrel, provide a beautiful reminder of what was. Join us on a tour of a piece of Bexley’s former Main Street.

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came to hear the history of Lazarus department stores and the Lazarus family. The benefits and legacy of their efforts are felt and enjoyed today, and we as a city and community are better because of it.

Thank you to Larry Helman and to Peter Bardwell for everything you both did behind the scenes to get this Bexley Day talk together. Your hard work made this an unforgettable evening.

Thank you to the Bexley Public Library (Zach, you're amazing!) for another night of partnership and hospitality. We couldn't do half of what we do without you and your support.

And a very large thank you to Peggy Lazarus for being a wonderful voice and storyteller, and for giving us an inside look into the life and motivation of one of our city's most notable families.

Happy Bexley Day, everyone!
