The 1st Annual Big Bear Mini Hamcation by Open Air Big Bear is this April 26-28 at The Lodge. An amateur radio event, you’ll get an intro to emergency communications, “mic fright” lessons, play radio, how to support the community, exams (www.k6ddz.com), learn about the “I Am Lost” event, demos and so much more.

I’ve had the opportunity to listen in on the ham radio operations over the past few years since Greg got his license and have to say the operations & teams are incredible. Stable, reliable communication is essential during emergencies, especially during power outages, and these gals & guys can always be counted on to help. 💪⛑️
