We just wanted to make a post thanking Randy’s Painting LLC for the great job on painting our our station! We also could not have completed this project without the continuous support from our community and Craig Hill for Madison County Commission District 3, thank you for supporting your local Volunteer Fire Departments! Every little bit of support is appreciated more than people know, whether its a donation or just gratitude towards our responders, it makes all the difference!

🚨 TRAINING NOTICE 🚨

On Wednesday, July 30th, members of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team will be conducting breaching training in the 100 block of Miller Lane in Owens Cross Roads. This is a planned training exercise, and residents may notice a visible law enforcement presence in the area. There is no cause for concern. We appreciate the community’s support and understanding as we conduct this important readiness training.

⚠️FLASHING LIGHTS AREN'T A SUGGESTION!⚠️
We're seeing more and more drivers, especially during high-traffic periods, failing to yield correctly to emergency vehicles. We want to remind our community when you see flashing lights and hear a siren behind you, don't panic - just pull over properly.

✅𝐃𝐎:
•Stay calm and alert.
•Move to the right side of the road - including the shoulder if possible
•Slow down or come to a complete stop.
•Wait until the emergency vehicle has passed and it’s safe to re-enter traffic.

❌𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓:
•Slam on your brakes in the middle of the road.
•Pull to the left - especially on narrow streets.
•Assume the vehicle will go around you.

We get it, traffic can be stressful...but seconds matter when someone’s life is on the line. Thanks for helping us get where we’re needed, safely and quickly.🚓

We NEED your HELP!!!

In the coming days, we will be mailing this flyer to homes and businesses in our primary district asking for your DONATIONS. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a huge impact on our department and our ability to continue and improve service! While only the addresses in our district will get a letter via mail, we are asking anyone in the Big Cove/Owens Cross Roads area that is willing to also consider a donation. We provide coverage for wrecks on all the roads in the area as well as provide aide outside of our area constantly so we may be the ones to respond to your incident no matter what your address is!

Please SHARE this post and help us spread the word! Contact us if you’d like to donate in person!

Thank you all for your continued support!

*** Edited to add QR code for electonic donation option via PayPal and Venmo.
