People should be getting water pressure back between Maryland & Pennsylvania from 9th Street to 12 Street. There will be water pressure loss between Plaza & Montana from 9th Street to 12 Street as repairs are in progress.

NOTICE TO ALL CITY OF BIG LAKE RESIDENTS

Fireworks

Section 5.01.002 of the Big Lake Code of Ordinances prohibits for any person, firm, or corporation to sell, expose for sale, or cause to be sold, wholesale or retail, or use or cause to be used, or explode or cause to be exploded, any type or description of fireworks within the corporate limits of the city.

The term "fireworks," shall mean and include any combustible or explosive composition or any substance or combination of substances or article prepared for the purpose of producing a visible or an audible effect by combustion, explosion, deflagration or detonation, and shall include blank cartridges, toy pistols, toy cannons, or toy guns in which explosives are used, firecrackers, torpedoes, skyrockets, roman candles, d**o bombs, sparkler, or other fireworks of like construction and any fireworks containing any explosive substance.

Any person, firm, or corporation violating the provisions of this section, upon conviction of such violation, shall be deemed guilty of a class C misdemeanor and shall be fined as allowed by law.
