💙 Meet this handsome Akita boy! 💙
This sweet guy is roughly 2–3 years old, and unfortunately, this is his second time finding himself at our shelter. 🐾
The first time he was with us, he was an absolute sweetheart with people! He loved our shelter staff and showed us just how wonderful he can be with humans. His biggest challenge seems to be with other dogs, as he can be selective and would do best as the only dog in the home.
He was adopted on his last day at the shelter, but shortly after going home, his adopter contacted us with concerns about growling. They wanted to give him some time to adjust, but the behavior continued, so we eventually brought him back to the shelter.
We can’t say for certain what caused the behavior in his new home, and we don’t want to make assumptions. Interestingly, our shelter crew is all female, and he has not growled at any of us since returning. He has been a good boy with our staff and continues to show us his sweet side. ❤️
He can be a little stubborn when it comes to heading outside to his kennel 😂, but once he’s out, he’s just a pretty great guy!
We truly believe this boy deserves someone who will take the time to understand him, give him patience, structure, and plenty of love. He may not be everyone’s perfect match, but for the right person, he could be a wonderful companion. 🐶💙
