LIBBY UPDATES -

What are some things patrons may notice that look different?

Visibility – patrons will see all participating member libraries in the Libby menu. They won’t have to search for partner collections any longer and can easily switch between collections by tapping the library name.

Library Card – patrons will have one library card listed at their home library. The cards at partner libraries can be viewed and managed from their home card. We will have more detailed help articles after the update is released.

Title Availability – patrons can browse and search for titles across all partner libraries at once. The best circulation option will be shown to patrons automatically, whether that is checking out the title from their home library or a partner library, or placing a hold at the library with the shortest wait.

As of August 2026, the following Digital Collections participate in the partnership: Bay County Library System, Download Destination, Genesee District Library, Great Lakes Digital Libraries, Jackson District Library, Lakeland Digital Library, Metro Net Library Consortium, Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative, Midwest Collaborative for Library Services, Southwest Michigan Digital Library, St. Clair County Library System, Suburban Library Cooperative, Traverse Area District Library, Up North Digital Collection, White Pine Library Cooperative, and Woodlands Downloadable Library.
