Some much needed time to fish with my Boy. So much fun!! With the nice run-off and the Dam repairs on Hebgen, this has been the best August dry-fly fishing I have ever seen.

Skiing is just starting to wind down but not quite done yet! So much powder out there its been hard to think about Fishing Season but as soon as the lifts stop spinning, the fishing bugs starts biting... Lets talk soon.. its going to be a long runoff and a most excellent fishing season. Fish do like water and there will be plenty of it!

The crazy days of Summer are behind us, but I have to tell you.. the fishing is still pretty darn good and you can have the river all to yourself! Solid fishing on the Upper Madison as well as the Yellowstone which is having the best Hopper year I have seen in a very long time. These first 2 weeks of September are usually very quiet times out here in Montana, so if you still have the fishing bug drop me a line and lets book a trip!

So far 2017 fishing has been outstanding.. We have a lot of water in Southwest Montana to get us through the summer/ fall. This is the beginning of the epic stage of summer Fly Fishing with stone flies galore as well as every other bug you can think of popping out and appeasing the hungry trout. Stay tuned for photos of all the summer's early season catches.
