BSCO exists to connect Big Sky through trails, parks and intentional community building opportunities 🫶🏽 We’re incredibly honored to have been awarded $12,000 from the Big Sky Biggie following last weekends race. 🚲

The Biggie is more than a mountain bike event — it’s a celebration of the trails and the community spirit that makes Big Sky our favorite place on earth. This gift will help us continue creating and caring for the trails that bring us together all year long.

Thank you to the Biggie Board of Directors, all of the volunteers, sponsors and participants that helped make this year’s event such a success. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that continually invests in itself and each other. 💙

There’s something pretty special about watching a dream become a place you can actually walk through. 🤩

Our Community Campus - the future home of Camp Big Sky and year-round community programming - is coming to life right before our eyes and it is hard to believe how far we’ve come.

Soon this space will be filled with kids, families, programs and all the moments that make Big Sky feel like home. We can’t wait to welcome you in.

BASEcamp kicks off August 31!

BASEcamp gives kids a fun, active and safe place to spend their afternoons. Join us from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Mon-Thurs, for movement, connection, and plenty of opportunities to try something new.

🚲 The Bike Fest has found a new date! 🚲

It’s no secret that open dates are hard to come by during summer in Big Sky, so we’ve made a little pivot. Join us on Tuesday, August 18 for a scaled-down version of the inaugural Big Sky Bike Fest!

Think of it as Big Sky Bike Fest: Mini Edition. Fewer bells and whistles than originally planned, but all the good vibes, great people, and bike-loving fun you’d expect. The party starts at 4:05p for a group ride down mountain to meadow (or Hot Dog) with us and Trail Dogs Big Sky. Later on we’ll all gather at the Community Park Jumpline for music, drinks and grilling (and of course, more biking)

Join us this Sunday, August 16 for the Community Potluck & Annual Crail Ranch Bake Sale!

Bring a favorite dish to share, catch up with friends and neighbors, and enjoy an afternoon celebrating community at one of Big Sky's most historic places.

While BSCO is known for parks, trails, recreation, and community spaces, we're also proud stewards of one of Big Sky's most important historic landmarks. The Historic Crail Ranch preserves the stories, buildings, and traditions that helped shape our community long before Big Sky became the place we know today.

Step inside the historic cabins, learn about the Crail family and early homesteaders, explore the gardens, and discover how this special place continues to connect our community to its roots.

The Community Park glow-up continues! 🚧

If you've driven by recently, you've probably noticed a few big changes:
• The Camp Big Sky yurts have officially been removed
• Construction is underway on the new basketball and volleyball courts
• The new restroom building has been delivered to the Community Campus
• Staging is under way for the yurt decks at the Community Campus

And there's even more to come:
• Sod installation will begin the week of august 10th. This is a huge milestone, and one that will require a little patience from all of us. While the fields may look ready for play, the new grass needs 90 days of uninterrupted growing time. We know it will be tempting, but please help us give it the quiet time it needs to grow 🌱
• New yurts are scheduled to arrive and be installed beginning August 3 at the Community Campus.

A project of this scale doesn't happen without an incredible community behind it. Thank you for your patience, and flexibility as we work through these final stages of construction.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back to a reimagined Community Park soon! 💙
