We have been extremely blessed in the last several years to have had this unbelievable volume of orders coming in. We’re producing more saddles per year than this shop did prior to 2022 (when the orders started flooding in), however the order list is still outpacing us and as of right now is 10 years out (2036).
10 years sounds like a good place to pause taking orders until the lead time is worked down to a reasonable time frame, so that is what we are doing as of 8/3/2026. We’re still working out what a reasonable time frame looks like for opening orders again. Maybe when the lead time is 2-4 years out.
We will be using the “Opportunities” list for contacting people when orders are open again. This has already been the contact list for people looking for used saddles or slots for new saddles that someone backed out of. When orders open back up (likely for 1 year worth of orders at a time) we will make contact down that list, in sequence that people were added, until the order slots for that time frame are full. In 2022 if you had told Dad and I that there would be a decades worth of saddle orders, we would have thought the next sentence would be trying to sell us beach front property in Oklahoma. We are extremely grateful to all of our loyal (and patient) customers. We wouldn’t be where we are without y’all.
