Next week kicks off our Summer Reading Program, and we are so excited to see everyone join in the fun! All programs are free and supplies are provided. So, bring the kids, bring a friend, and come make some great summer memories with us. We can’t wait to see you there!

Please note that Teen Art and Kreative Kids will not be held at the library this summer.

The Summer Reading Calendar for June is here! This year’s theme is Unearth A Story, get ready for storytellers, magicians, music, crafts and more! Due to the renovations, Summer Reading Program is going to look a little different, most of summer reading events will take place at Anthony Hunt Library located on the Howard College Campus (1001 Birdwell Lane). Some events will take place at Ryan Hall (605 N. Main Street). Make sure to look at the calendar for those dates and location changes. You can sign up for Summer Reading by scanning the QR code at the top of the calendar or stopping by the library.

Howard County Library would like to thank the community, Dora Roberts Foundation, The Friends of the Library, Howard College, Northside Movement, Star Ford of Big Spring, and Howard County for helping to make sure Summer Reading Program is possible.
While services may be limited, the library will continue to stay open throughout the renovation. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the library. Make sure to follow us on Facebook to stay updated on programs, locations and the summer fun ahead!

📚 Summer Program at the Library!
Registration opens Monday, May 18th, and trust us, you’re going to want to sign up early.

This year’s theme, Unearth a Story, is bringing a summer packed full of thrilling, adventurous, dig‑in‑and‑discover fun for readers of all ages. Think dinosaurs, archaeology, hidden treasures, and stories waiting to be uncovered. The Children's Librarian, Ms. Julie, has an amazing summer line-up scheduled!

As we get ready to kick off another amazing summer, we want to take a moment to thank the people who help make our Summer Art Program possible.
