Shonda Folsom is running for County Attorney position in Coke County’s March 2024 Republican primary.

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

In April 2008, Shonda Folsom moved to West Texas after marrying Clinton Folsom. Clinton had previously lived and worked in West Texas. Shonda and Clinton are now raising twin boys as next generation Texans.

Starting in 2014, Clinton began hunting on a deer lease in Bronte and the whole family has regularly returned for hunting, shopping, and visiting friends. Over the years, the family’s connection with Coke County grew. In 2022, they purchased a ranch outside of Bronte. Shonda has been sponsoring activities around Coke County since 2019, such as the Turkey ‘N’ Hog Fest, Bronteoberfest, Christmas in Olde Bronte, and the Coke County Junior Livestock Show.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Shonda Folsom has been a licensed attorney since 2001. Before moving to Texas, her practice areas were in commercial transaction, contracts, and other corporate work at large firms.

In 2016, Shonda created The Folsom Law Firm PLLC as a general practice law firm, providing estate planning, probate and probate alternatives, guardianships, real estate, company formation, and other business assistance. She has provided legal services in Howard County, Glasscock County, Midland County, and Coke County. She has provided the county government of Glasscock County assistance with civil contracts, Howard County with criminal misdemeanor public defender services, and has served as an ad litem attorney for the Coke County Court.
