Tomorrow (5/29) is the last day of school! Students will be checking out of their classes throughout the morning. We are hoping to have students checked out by noon. Buses will start running at 1pm. Congratulations on making it through the school year, have a great summer!!!

On Tuesday, May 19th, and Wednesday, May 20th, we had 7 individuals compete in the Class B State Golf Tournament at Lake Hills Golf Course in Billings, MT. The tournament consists of two rounds over two days of play. Our boys team competed at state (3 of the 5 participants qualified individually as well), and two girls competed. Our golfers were consistent, determined, and strong, showing true Herder spirit and sportsmanship. Our boys team put up some good scores and earned 6th place. Sawyer Durfee placed 6th overall! Both of our girls set personal records (Annabelle with a 95, and Annika with an 82). Annika King placed 7th overall! We are proud of them all. Go Herders!

We had a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY! The High School and Grade School Math Departments met up to grind through the new, 2026 Math Standards! They rocked it!

SGHS is interested in hiring qualified substitute bus drivers. Requirements include a current CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, DOT physical exam, and a current First Aid card. Costs for certification of a driver are reimbursable if the driver agrees to drive for the district during the school year. Application forms which require information related to education experience, recent employment history, and personal references are available at the high school office.
