Aaaand we’re off! We just finished our first week of guests for the 2026 season, and we have SO many fun things to share about one of the most epic weeks in Sweet Grass history. But first, we need to recap our pre-season!
‘Twas the weeks before opening, when all through the ranch, all the creatures were stirring, even the moose under the tree branch; The curtains were hung in the windows with care, knowing the guests soon would be there; The horses were gathered all sleek in the spring, and wranglers put first rides on without even one fling; And papa on his lawnmower and grandma in her garden have just settled in for a sweet summer in the place they work hard in; Horseshoes were attached with an anvil-ing clatter, while the sun rose in a burning orange paint splatter; Housekeepers cleaned with great gusto and flash, so we could open the place and have it look class; The sky gave us much needed rain and even some snow, bringing a green luster to the valley below; Repairs were made before guests did appear, anticipating that another summer was near; River banks flooded and washed down many a stick, and the staff bonding commenced good and quick; Now the ranch is all ready and it’s the start of the ballgame, at Sweet Grass where things change but really always stay the same 💙💚🧡🩵🩷💛
