Chief Plant Operator (Level 3 License) $24.68 – $29.59 per hour.
Treatment Plant Operator (Level 2 License) $22.06 – 26.09 per hour

The City of Biggs is seeking qualified candidates for Wastewater Plant Operator. Under the direct supervision of the Public Works Superintendent, operates and maintains the wastewater collection, treatment and disposal plant and systems according to State regulations, City procedures, and best practices for safety, security, and efficiency. Also performs a wide variety of tasks involving the construction and maintenance of streets, drainage, water and sewer systems, parks, equipment operation, building maintenance.

Due to a logistical issue the electric outage previously scheduled for April 18 was delayed and will occur tonight (Thursday April 21) at approximately 11:50 PM

This will result in an electric power outage of 10-30 minutes. The exact time and duration are estimates, subject to change.

Retirement: The city participates in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) under a 2% at 60 formula for classic members and 2% at 62 formula for new members.

Health Insurance: The City contributes up to 80% of the monthly premium for coverage of employee and dependents with a cap at $2,000 per month per employee.

Other Benefits: City contributes 80% of dental insurance for employees and dependents, 100% of vision care insurance for employees and dependents, and 100% cost of life insurance and AD&D insurance for employees. Per Year Paid Holidays: 12. Vacation: 12 days per year. Sick Leave: 12 days per year.
