As a reminder, all schools in the Upper Adams School District will be dismissing early on Friday, October 9th, due to a planned early dismissal day.There will be no student lunches served on Friday, October 9th.High School and Middle School Students will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m., Elementary and Intermediate School Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.,Once again, there will be no student lunches served on Friday, October 9th.Also, there will be no school for students on Monday, October 12th, due to a planned professional development day for staff members.We look forward to seeing all of our students back in school on Tuesday, October 13th.Thank You.

The Upper Adams School District was informed by Adams County 911 this morning that Route 234 will be closed between Heckenluber Road and Beecherstown Road for the next several hours. This will be impacting various bus routes and bus stop times this morning as this is a main route to the Upper Adams Intermediate School. The transportation department is working to reroute buses in the most efficient way possible. Buses along this route may be delayed this morning and/or a different bus and bus driver may be picking up your child from the bus stop. If students are delayed to school this morning as a result of this road closure, or other bus, or transportation delays, they will be admitted to the school buildings with no issues.

In addition, due to the severe storms early this morning, there may be other various road closures, detours, or possible delays when traveling this morning. The Upper Adams School District encourages everyone to be safe on their commutes this morning and take your time navigating road closures or obstacles on the roads as a result of the storms.

The Upper Adams School District Transportation Department thanks you for your understanding and patience as we provide timely and safe bus transportation for all of our students.

As a result of the water main break today, the Borough of Biglerville has issued a boil water advisory, tomorrow, Thursday, August 27th for Biglerville High School & the Upper Adams Middle School. School will be in session as normal. The Upper Adams School District will provide options to Biglerville High School and Upper Adams Middle School Students for drinking water that will not use the public water system. Biglerville High School and Upper Adams Middle School Students will also be permitted to bring with them one additional bottle of standard drinking water for their personal use if they so choose. The Upper Adams School District thanks you for your understanding and flexibility with this situation, as we follow local guidance to ensure healthy and safe practices following a water main replacement.

Due to a large water main break on Main Street directly in front of Biglerville High School's exit road, we are asking all parent pick-ups for this afternoon to park down by the Football Stadium. Your students will meet you at that location. There will only be one exit available to all traffic this afternoon.

The Upper Adams School District was informed by the Pennsylvania State Police this morning that there is an accident on Route 234 by the Apple Bin Restaurant. Route 234 will be closed between Heckenluber Road and Beecherstown Road for the next several hours. This will be impacting various bus routes and bus stop times this morning as this is a main route to the Upper Adams Intermediate School. The transportation department is working to reroute buses in the most efficient way possible. Please understand that as a result of this accident, buses may be delayed this morning and/or a different bus and bus driver may be picking up your child from the bus stop. If students are delayed to school this morning as a result of this road closure or bus delays, they will be admitted to the school buildings with no issues.

The Upper Adams School District is excited to welcome our students, staff, and families back for the 2026–2027 school year, which officially begins tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19th. Please be sure to review your child’s specific building schedule and transportation details, allowing an extra 10-15 minutes at bus stops during the first week of school in the morning, as well as expect 10-15 minute delayed bus drop-offs in the afternoon. Please drive with caution through all school zones to ensure a safe transition back to class.
