On this Memorial Day, The Billerica Fire Department honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We humbly appreciate their courage and sacrifice. We are forever grateful.

The Billerica Fire Department sends our deepest condolences to the Kilduff Family, The Boston Fire Department, and Boston Firefighters IAFF Local 718 for their tragic loss of FF Robert “BK” Kilduff. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and our brother and sister firefighters.

Robert “BK" Kilduff, Jr. exemplified what it meant to be a union firefighter. BK was passionate about his profession, assigned to Rescue Company 2, and passionate about improving the lives of his fellow brothers and sisters, working as a staff member of the PFFM for the last 15 years.

More than anything else, BK was passionate about being a father. The PFFM sends all of our love and support to both of his children and will stand with Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF to ensure they have whatever they need.

Rest easy BK.

The Billerica Fire Department recently held our annual Firefighter Recognition Day. International Firefighters Day is recognized annually on May 4th.

Congratulations to our recently retired members of our department, a special welcome to our newly hired firefighters, congratulations to our members who received years of service pins, and congratulations to our newly promoted Captains and Lieutenants.

Also, please, keep our retired brothers and sister we lost this past year in your thoughts and prayers.

The Billerica Fire Department recently partnered with The Billerica Council on Aging to offer free CPR training to Billerica Seniors. The program consisted of hands only CPR, AED use, and how to deliver The Heimlich maneuver.

The training session was well received and we plan on doing this training again in the near future.

We greatly appreciate our community partnership we have with our Billerica Council on Aging! ❤️🚒

The. Billerica Fire Department recently partnered with The Billerica Council on Aging to provide public education on fire safety and fall prevention.

Fire safety bingo was held at The Senior Center with Senior Safe Coordinator Captain Paskiewicz and the crew from E-1 and C-10. A huge thank you to COA director Hemali, Event coordinator Rylee, and Jeannie and Karen from the COA Outreach! Bingo consisted of fire and fall prevention messages, along with trivia and raffles.

The crew from E-1 went over
our equipment we carry on our E-1 with The COA Men’s group. The men checked out our rescue equipment including air bags, lifting equipment and jaws of life tools in addition to our fire suppression equipment and medical equipment.

Great job by our firefighters and our community partners at The Billerica COA!!

The Billerica Fire Department wants to recognize our Fire Alarm Operators during National Public Safety Telecommunicators week!

The Billerica Fire Department takes great pride in always having our Fire Alarm Operators providing a calming voice to handle all emergency and non emergency calls.

They handle a wide variety of emergency calls - from multiple alarm fires, hazardous materials incidents, multi casualty incidents, and rescues while also handling numerous calls of non emergency nature - including burn permits, fire prevention and public education inquiries, and other non emergency requests.

Thanks for all you do for the public and for always having our Firefighters backs!

Chief Cole and The Billerica Fire Department regret to announce the passing of retired Firefighter Ronald DePari. Ronnie served on The Billerica Fire Department from 1985 - 1991 prior to his retirement.

Per Ronnie’s wishes there will be no funeral arrangements. The Billerica Fire Department extends our heartfelt condolences to Ronnie’s family and friends. We’ll miss you Ronnie. ❤️🚒🙏
