Billerica Public Library Teen Central

The Billerica Public Library Young Adult Department Young adult services are for any young person in grades 5-12.

On the main floor is a special Young Adult area with a collection focused specifically for teens and tweens. The collection includes all the latest books, magazines, books on cd, dvd's, cd's as well as, a good size collection of manga, anime and graphic novels. Oh, did I mention we also carry Switch, Wii, WiiU, XBox, DS, 3DS and Playstation 3 games? The Library offers volunteer opportunities and teen/tween programming. The Young Adult Volunteers sometimes act as hosts for special drop-in craft and activity days for younger children throughout the year.

It's a Fundraiser!! Ok folks we need your help. The Family Friends of the library are having a fundraiser! Head over to Wendy's in North Billerica on Friday, September 25th, any time of the day and make a purchase.

Over the summer we challenged students to design a chicken using the recycled objects in a mystery bag. The results were awesome! The judges voted and your winners are:

Middle School level:
1st Emily Shannon
2nd Leah Skelton
3rd Quinn Dorman

High School level:
1st Olivia Stevens
2nd Rebecca Kearns!

What a fun way to end the Teen's Summer Reading program...Cha Cha Chickens! Fifteen families battled it out to become the Ultimate Puzzlers! Congratulations everyone!🎉

What a fun way to start the week! Teen volunteers worked all summer to create a Down on the Farm experience for some of our younger patrons! Smiles could be seen everywhere. Spot the difference? Peter the chicken was looking for book recommendations from a friend! He went home with The Lord of the Wings!🐔📔

A great big thank you goes out to Jessica aka Jak from It’s a Flocking Farm, LLC and also a librarian at Hopkinton Public Library for sharing her great knowledge of all things chickens to our tweens. We learned a lot! The chickens, Tonks, Cookie Monster, Peter and John Adams enjoyed their visit too.
