CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:

Crews from Blevins Asphalt will begin construction (asphalt grinding) tomorrow, Friday August 14th on Mt. Vernon from Hwy 60 to Beverly, and Beverly from Mt. Vernon to Howard. Paving of the same streets will begin on Monday August 17th. Please plan your commute accordingly and please use caution in these construction zones. Thank you for your cooperation!

Congratulations to our very own Randy Poindexter for being recognized by the US National Weather Service Springfield Missouri for his years of service as a weather observer/reporter! We're proud of you, Randy!

Please give a shout out to Randy Poindexter (L) our NWS Cooperative Weather Observer in the Billings Missouri area for receiving the NWS 10-year length of service award. Randy volunteers his time every morning taking and sending daily 24hr max/min temperature, rainfall, and snowfall readings. Billings Cooperative site dates back to May of 1962 when Walter W. Loyd took daily max/min temperature and rainfall readings. Thank you, Randy, for your dedicated service to the Billings community and the NWS.
