Parenting doesn't come with a manual, and many of us are raising children while still learning about ourselves. That's one of the reasons The Village LLC uses the Nurturing Parenting Program.

Nurturing Parenting helps parents explore how their own childhood experiences may influence the way they parent today. It provides insight into child development so parents can better understand what behaviors are age-appropriate and what their children need at each stage of growth.

The program also teaches practical, healthy ways to connect with children through communication, empathy, positive discipline, play, and relationship-building. By understanding ourselves and our children more deeply, we can create stronger bonds, healthier family relationships, and a more nurturing home environment.

At The Village LLC, we're proud to use Nurturing Parenting as one of our evidence-based practices to support parents, strengthen families, and help build positive, lasting connections between parents and their children.

A Mother’s Saturday Morning Poem:

For My Daughters,
I don’t know how to put this into words
So i’m just going to say it as it comes

You are beautiful
More than I can ever hope to explain
More than even you can see

Your quiet calm kept carefully cradled
Your eyes stopping me every time
When i look at you, the rest of the world seems to disappear
It feels as though i could stay there, lost in them, forever
And still never want to leave
Your grace graven in my soul
How could I ever forget your perfection?
I will never fully understand the miracle of your existence or the magic you carry so effortlessly within you
Full of opportunity, light and love absolute
A radiance even the moons halo would wish to emulate

Life-long prayers answered
How kind the gods have been to allow such Gorgeous Girls to walk this earth
Blessings beyond belief
If I was given the choice to live this life again
I would choose it all over

Sensory play looks different for every child and family.

This sensory bin has pluffle and different items hidden throughout for kids to explore and play with. Activities like this can help with fine motor skills, creativity, and sensory exploration while giving kids a fun, calming activity.

The Village works to create sensory-friendly spaces where children can feel comfortable, supported, and free to be themselves.

Coming to a visit can sometimes feel awkward, overwhelming, or daunting.

The Village provides a variety of games, activities, and opportunities for parents and children to connect, have fun, and build meaningful memories together.

We also encourage parents to bring special items from home, such as favorite games, crafts, books, or activities, to help visits feel more comfortable, personal, and meaningful for both you and your child.

We’re excited to share an opportunity for foster youth to experience a fun, supportive, and memorable summer through Haven Summer Camp.

Hosted by Faith Chapel, Haven Summer Camp is designed specifically for children and teens in foster care, creating space for connection, encouragement, and new experiences.

There are camp options available for kids ages 6–11 as well as separate tween backpacking camps for youth ages 12–16.

We have another graduation at The Village!!! Miss Lizzie Gregory graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from MSU-Billings! She was also awarded the Internship Student of the Semester in Spring 2026.
We are so happy for Lizzie and so proud of this huge accomplishment!
Lizzie has been at The Village for 15 months and is a huge asset to us and the families that she works with. Lizzie is a ray of sunshine, focusing on the positives and strengths, and brings smiles and laughter wherever she goes. She is a truly genuine, intelligent, competent, and kind person.

The Village was created because too many families are facing serious social and economic challenges without the kind of meaningful, lasting support they truly need. These struggles can put children’s safety at risk and make it harder for families to stay stable and well.

The Village is a place for support, encouragement, and real connection. We aim to give families in crisis a voice, along with the skills and knowledge to help them move forward with strength and confidence. At the heart of it, we believe every family deserves care, dignity, and a real chance to thrive.

Visitation can be difficult, but at The Village we do our best to create a comfortable, home-like space for families to connect. Whether that looks like sitting together on the couch, playing games on the floor, or simply having room to settle in, we want visits to feel as natural as possible.

We also encourage families to bring favorite foods, toys, or comfort items from home to help make the time more meaningful and relaxed.
