Community Engagment Committee meets tomorrow (May 5th) at 6pm in the commons. This meeting is very informal and is open to parents, community members and students. Our focus is to make Lockwood School the hub of the community by supporting our clubs and organizations, listening to ideas and feedback and connecting people from all parts of the Lockwood Community together. On March 6th the Lockwood School Board hosted our first Winter Game Night! At the event we opened doors to Lockwood Schools families for free feed, fun games and activities! Through event we were able to donate $715 to the Optimist Club of Lockwood for their Christmas Shopping for Kids in need program. The Lockwood Little League won the Chili Cook-off and received $96! Many clubs and organizations were able to raise funds through their various fundraising efforts around the building! Overall it was a ton of fun and while we do not have an official count the house was full and fun was had! Thank you to all the clubs, businesses and organizations that participated! You are all what makes Lockwood special!
Special thanks to S-Bar-S Building Center, Yellowstone Coffee and Canvas LLC., Lockwood Little League, Optimist Club of LockwoodLockwood Booster ClubJacque Lorang Broker Associate Heavenly Homes Real EstateScheelsSoda StationTotally Whipped Soft Serve Lockwood Education Association, and Cory Schock for the silent auction items!
There was also a presentation of an enormous donation from Optimist Club of Lockwood to the music department.
We are so lucky to have so many wonderful organizations who support our kids!
