The Billings Community Seed Library is hosting a Seed Saving Workshop where we will learn how to collect, save, and store heirloom vegetable and native plant seeds with Abi Saeed, Montana State University's Extension Horticulture Specialist. 🌱

This program allows for participants to earn a Google Career Certificate in one of six rapidly growing professional fields. This is a no experience necessary opportunity to learn job-ready skills and help you stand out to employers.

Join us for our Seventh Annual Team Jigsaw Puzzle Championships! 🧩

Gather your family and friends to make up your team (teams are limited to 6 people), Team Captains can register for their team *ONLY ONE PERSON NEEDS TO REGISTER FOR THEIR TEAM! Teams will each be given a randomly drawn puzzle to assemble, the first team to complete their puzzle wins the Championship Title, bragging rights, and maybe a prize! Come down to the library for an evening of fun, fast-paced puzzle building!

*Doors will open after 5pm, Puzzle Building will commence at 5:30pm!

The Billings Symphony invites children of all ages and their parents to the library on Saturday, September 19 from 9:30-11:30am for a musical instrument petting zoo!

Bow a violin or cello, pucker up to a trumpet, clack a castanet, or see if you can get a note out of a clarinet, all while learning more about the different types of orchestra instruments, how each one creates a unique sound, and how they are played. Plan to stay for a special musical presentation designed especially for kids: Dr. J’s Jazzy Journey featuring symphony musicians and friends at 11:30AM!

This annual event is exciting for the whole family, and it’s all FREE! Get your very own Passport to the Orchestra from your classroom teachers or at the door. See you there!
