Press Release: Structure Fire at 1815 Sanford Ave.
Incident: At 22:13 on 5/26/26, Lockwood Fire District was dispatched to a report of a single family,
residential structure fire. Upon arrival at 22:20, crews confirmed an active structure fire with smoke and
flames heavily involved in the living room of the ground floor. The fire was contained and extinguished,
while exposures were protected. The occupants were home at the time of the call, and all evacuated
prior to LFD arrival. Four total patients were evaluated on scene, and one patient was transported to a
local hospital.
The home experienced significant damage, and an estimate of the total damage is still under
investigation.
Info: The Lockwood Fire District would like to thank the Billings Fire Department, Yellowstone County
Sheriff’s Office, AMR Billings, Northwestern Energy, and MDU for their mutual aid assistance. No further
information is available at this time. The Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating.
