This is Space Force Junior ROTC
Meeting the Leadership

Since June 2024 Colonel Matthew E. Tipton has served as the Director, Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He is responsible for the Air Force’s high school citizenship training program comprised of about 84,450 students and 1,600 instructors at approximately 830 high schools worldwide which currently includes ten Space Force JROTC units. Colonel Tipton directs staff initiatives and policy to implement the world’s largest and most comprehensive aerospace science education program.

The is led by Colonel Tipton and his team at HQ AF Junior ROTC with the support of United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 1, Detachment 2.
