Veterans, do you have a Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)? You may need one in the near future if you have an appointment on a local military base that we partner with to provide Veteran care. Currently we are partnering with Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Naval Hospital Pensacola, and 96th Medical Group on Eglin AFB to grow the types of healthcare services available for our Veterans.
To get a VHIC, Veterans need to be enrolled in VA health care. If you’re not already enrolled, you can apply online, in person or by calling the VA at 877-222-8387. After registration, you can apply for a VHIC at a VA medical center or online at https://www.va.gov/health-care/get-health-id-card/.
NOTE: The VHIC is different from a Veteran ID Card issued by DOD or other Veteran organization.
