⚠️ WEATHER SAFETY REMINDER ⚠️

With heavy rain moving through the area a lot lately, we’re asking everyone to use extra caution while driving and traveling through the city. Wet roads can quickly become dangerous, especially when visibility is reduced and water begins pooling on roadways.

Please slow down, increase your following distance, and allow extra time to reach your destination safely. Even roads you travel every day can become hazardous during periods of heavy rainfall.

Most importantly: do not attempt to drive through flooded streets or areas with significant standing water. It only takes a small amount of moving water to carry away a vehicle, and it’s often impossible to judge the depth of water covering a roadway.

Remember that it's far more important to make it to your destination in one piece, than to make it there faster.

We want everyone to make it home safely. Stay alert, stay patient, and stay safe.
