14 day burn ban in effect for Caddo county.

Caddo County Burn Ban Issued

The Caddo County Commissioners have officially issued a burn ban effective immediately due to extreme fire danger conditions. This ban will remain in place for up to 14 days unless lifted sooner.

No outdoor burning is allowed, including:
• Campfires and bonfires
• Burning trash or debris
• Fireworks

Allowed with restrictions:
• Outdoor cooking in enclosed gas or charcoal grills (must be on a non-flammable surface and at least 5 feet from vegetation)
• Welding/cutting with proper safety precautions and fire watch in place
• Agricultural prescribed burns only if conducted under Oklahoma Forestry Service guidelines

With the dry conditions and wind we’ve been experiencing, fire danger is extremely high. Please help protect our community and our firefighters by following the burn ban and avoiding any activity that could start a wildfire.

If you see smoke or fire, report it immediately by calling 911.

We want to give a shout out to one of our new businesses in town. We have had some issues with the transmission in our tanker for a while. We reached out to Bullfrog Wind and they were more than happy to help us out with this. It takes a lot to keep things in the fire service going and having support like this is key! Thank you and everyone else for the support you give us.

We had some of the best little visitors today. The 1st and 2nd grade students were getting some hands-on learning for Fire Prevention Week. We always enjoy getting to help the kids learn about fire safety and see the big smiles on their faces.

We want to thank Hydro Salvage & Wrecker for providing us 2 vehicles to train with. They regularly help the local fire departments so that we all can train. We spent the morning practicing auto extraction skills with our new TNT tools.
