As summer winds down, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the long weekend and all the wonderful memories made in Birch Bay this summer. 💙

While our Chamber office will be closed on Monday, September 7, Birch Bay is always open for a visit! Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful beach walk, exploring local trails, grabbing a bite, or simply taking in the view, there’s plenty to discover here year-round.

🌷 September 2026 Member of the Month: Blaine-Birch Bay Senior Association 🌷

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the Blaine-Birch Bay Senior Association and the many ways their members and volunteers contribute to our community.

One project we especially want to recognize is their Flower Project, which gives donated flowers a second life. Rather than letting flowers go to waste, volunteers help repurpose them into beautiful arrangements that can be shared with others in the community.

Each week, we are lucky enough to receive flowers here at the Chamber, adding a little beauty and brightness to our Visitor Information Center. It’s such a wonderful example of how a simple idea, generous volunteers, and a little creativity can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to the Blaine-Birch Bay Senior Association and all of the volunteers who help make this project, and so many others, possible! 🌷

Birch Bay Derby Day 2026 is officially in the books! 🦆🦀🏎️
From the Pinewood Derby and Poker Run to the Billy Brown Crab Derby and the Duck Derby, it was a fun-filled day in Birch Bay! Thank you to everyone who joined in the festivities and to everyone who purchased a racing duck to help raise funds for the Birch Bay Library. 🦆📚
We couldn’t have made the day possible without our incredible sponsors, event partners, local businesses, and everyone who donated prizes and helped make Derby Day such a success. ❤️

🦆🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Birch Bay Ducky Derby Winners! 🏆🦆
Out of nearly 770 ducks, these lucky ducks came out on top!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased a duck and participated in this year’s Ducky Derby! Your support helps raise funds for the new Birch Bay Library. 📚💙
We couldn’t do it without our amazing local businesses who sponsored this event and donated prizes and helped make the Birch Bay Ducky Derby a success!

We’re excited to host Birch Bay Derby Day this Saturday!🏁
Start your day with the Pinewood Derby, open to kids and teens ages 17 and under, from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM in front of Birch Bay Carts. There are still a few free derby cars available at our Visitor Center if you’d like to pick one up! 🏎️
Then, cruise the bay by golf cart, bike, or on foot for the last Poker Run of the season, happening from 1:00–3:00 PM. 🚲🃏
Next up, Billy Brown’s Crab Derby is from 4:00–7:00 PM in front of the Beach Bar! 🦀 Compete for the biggest Red, Monster, and Catch of the Day.
You won't want to miss the Birch Bay Duck Derby!! 🦆 Rubber Ducks will be released around 6:00 PM where Terrell Creek meets the ocean near the entrance to the berm, with the finish line at the bridge by The C Shop.🏁
You can purchase a $5 racing duck at the Birch Bay Chamber and Visitor Center, open daily from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. Duck sales close at 4:00 PM Saturday. Duck sales will also be available at the bookmobile tonight from 3 pm-7 pm by the C Shop!
💙 All Duck Derby proceeds benefit the new Birch Bay Library!

We just sold our last racing duck for tonight’s Birch Bay Ducky Derby! We’ve never sold out this early, and we can’t thank our amazing community enough! 💛
Join us tonight around 6 PM at Terrell Creek to cheer on the ducks as they race to the finish line near the C Shop Bridge! 🏁🦆
