In the month May Taymouth Fire responded to the following call types:
8 medical
4 power line down
2 smoke odor investigations
2 carbon monoxide detector activations
2 fires
1 request for mutual aid.

May has been a dry month and with that we are keeping an eye on weather conditions and outdoor open burning. Even though the trees have greened up some fields in our area have been planted in no till conditions which leaves last years crop residue exposed and can be a source or surface fire fuels if careful practices are not followed.

3 requests for mutual aid to other departments

2 wires down
1 motor vehicle accident
1 smoke / odor investigation
1 tornado warning/ spotting

With spring outdoor clean up underway please remember to get a permit if you are going to burn outdoor yard waste.

1 motor vehicle accident

April service anniversary :

With the recent rains some roadways are flooded. Please observe road close signs and avoid flood waters.
