Dear Senator Muth and Borough of Birdsboro,

On behalf of the Birdsboro-Union Fire Department, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the $77,773 grant award that will assist with the purchase of a new brush truck.

This grant is a tremendous investment in the safety and emergency response capabilities of the Borough of Birdsboro and the surrounding communities. The new brush truck will provide our department with a much-needed resource to respond to brush fires, wildland incidents, and other emergencies throughout the borough and our surrounding mutual-aid communities.

As volunteer firefighters, we understand the importance of having reliable, modern equipment available when our community needs us most. This new apparatus will enhance our ability to protect our residents, our firefighters, and the communities we serve through mutual aid.

We are extremely grateful to Senator Muth and the Borough of Birdsboro for recognizing the needs of the Birdsboro-Union Fire Department and for supporting our efforts to improve emergency services. Your commitment to public safety and to the fire service is greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your support and for this generous grant. We look forward to putting this new brush truck to work serving the Borough of Birdsboro and our neighboring communities for many years to come.
