Congratulations to our very own Adison Andry on being crowned the 2027 IVFA District 18 Miss Flame!!! She competed with her attendant, Avery Atkins.

Adison is the daughter of Todd and Jennifer Andry of Birdseye. You will see her out and about at many area events, parades, and festivals. She will also get to compete in the state Indiana Volunteer Firefighter Association Miss Flame contest next year.

Avery Atkins is the daughter of Nick and Jennifer Atkins.

Congratulations again Adi!

A huge thank you goes out to Dubois REC for helping the Birdseye Volunteer Fire Department with a $5000 grant to purchase new SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) tanks! The current metal tanks weigh between 30-35 pounds empty. With this money, we will be able to purchase new aluminum tanks weighing 18-19 pounds empty. That is a significant difference for our firefighters to carry!
