WELLLLL, alrighty then...... to my ham friends....

we have a parrot repeater / simplex repeater set up here in marion al, perry county al, if anyone wants to see if they can get us... we are on the shared frequency across alabama, 146.580 with pl 67.0 tx and rx. if you hit it, you will hear what you say back and a short beep so that you know if we are responding back ... beep is parrot, no beep is straight simplex without the parrot.

give it a shot and see what you can do....

JEFFERSON COUNTY ALABAMA ARES has need of "professional" antenna mounting service on a tower that is maybe 30 feet high but it is up on an elevated surface. Howdy all!! We are planning to be at the BARC ARRL Field Day in June, 22-23 .... will be setting up during the evening of the 21st over at the Sylvan Springs Town Hall again.

here yall go......annnnnnd finally.....now that i have the logs entered correctly, the end result tally is 688 contacts accepted by POTA........

I uploaded the logs and the POTA system does not count the same station from multiple parks. ..... odd but oh well, they discounted 19 of my entries because of that..... but still.....if you add all of the dupes including the ones that i did not put on pc log.....i was at 710 contacts total.....

even so, by POTA i got 330 and 344 ..... plus i still get the 50 points for my first activation.... yay me?

Sat = 339 clean contacts
Sun = 354 clean contacts

total of 693 for the weekend

plus 50 points for first time pota activation..... 743 points total for POTA AL .
logs have been submitted now too

well, for Saturday the count is 339 contacts after entering everything from paper to N3FJP's Amateur Contact Log..... Saturday only...now to work on entering in for Sunday....

I will edit with the update adding Sundays count once get that finished entered.

what a blast...... i had so much fun at Oak Mountain State Park over the weekend doing the POTA / POTA AL....... but i made zero contacts with Alabama parks.......probably because is was parked on one frequency for most of the time..... oh well, i think i made 669 contacts but will know for sure once i have them all addded to my pc and sey in a log.....parts of me are sore that i had not ever thought would be,,,,,, but i really enhoyed myself.

302 contacts as i end the night for the moment...some rude folks just jumped on nd told me the frequency was in use, for their rag chewing....but is all good...my fingers are sore from writing...lol
