The ALS Association Alabama Chapter is pleased to announce the launch of three new professional education courses now available through our partners at MedBridge Education. Speech Language Pathologists play an important role in supporting people living with ALS (pALS) as a part of their multidisciplinary care team.

To address the current clinical provider and patient gap and build a robust network of professionals prepared to work with the specific needs of people living with ALS, the Alabama Chapter coordinated an Advisory Committee tasked to develop a self-paced, evidence-based curriculum for community-based clinicians related to bulbar dysfunction in people living with ALS.

All three courses can be accessed at https://www.medbridgeeducation.com/a/als-alabama?a_aid=6026d739ddbb3&a_cid=29b49843.
New subscribers to MedBridge should be sure to take advantage of our discount code, ALSALABAMA.

My home in Nashville just listed, as I am downsizing after my husband passed. It has an addition built specifically for an ALS patient - elevator, ramps, ceiling lift, large roll-in shower, bidet, hand rails, roll under sink, and lots of equipment. If you know of anyone in the area that would benefit from these amenities, please share the link with them. We are just 15 minutes from the Vanderbilt ALS Clinic. Thank you!
Great trip to DC to advocate for legislative priorities important to our PALS. Thanks to our families and volunteers for taking the time and effort to visit with all 9 of our representatives in Washington.
My husband was diagnosed in 2008 -- 9 yrs ago, he is still speaking.... nothing else works but that mouth - lol. God has blessed and continues too everyday. Much love to those of you 'whom have lost loved ones to this disease already..... there are changes coming - we have to have faith. Hold on.
I live in Cullman and I want to learn how to sign and learn more about the community. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I have $250.00 for my team Jantastics
