7A 2026-03-28. From US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois: After a chilly start this morning, temperatures will quickly climb after sunrise. Then, gusty winds and dry conditions will support critical fire weather conditions for much of the area this afternoon into early evening, so avoid outdoor burning! Temperatures will continue to warm up into early next week with a daily elevated fire weather risk ahead of our next chances of showers/storms Monday night.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for much of the area today for critical fire weather conditions. Please NO outdoor burning! Conditions will be very favorable for rapid fire spread. Any fires that would start will be very difficult to contain!
