The Alabama National Guard/State Military Department invited the House & Senate members for their respective Military and Veterans Affairs Committees to JFHQ yesterday. They received a briefing on the proposed legislative agenda for the 2025 Session.

One of the proposed bills discussed is the S.A.F.E.R. Together/Houston Hunter Bill. Storing Ammunition & Fi****ms to Enhance Resilience (SAFER) Together is a grassroots su***de prevention initiative dedicated to offering an additional layer of support for Military, Veterans, and First Responders.

This statewide effort aims to assemble and maintain a network of Federal Fi****ms Licensees (FFLs) that provide a secure fi****ms and ammunition storage option for men and women with the MVFR community – especially during transitional, high-risk life events.
