For many of our members, Next is much more than a place to attend a class or program—it becomes a second home.

In her latest Next Notebook for Downtown Publications our Executive Director, Cris Braun, shares a heartfelt tribute to Pat, a beloved Next member who recently passed away unexpectedly.

Pat embraced everything Next is meant to be: a welcoming community filled with enriching experiences, genuine friendships and people who are always willing to help. Her story is also an important reminder that no one should ever feel like a burden for needing assistance, companionship or support.
We are grateful Pat chose to make Next such an important part of her life. She will be deeply missed by our entire community.

🚍 A Day in the D! 🏙️⚓ with Bianco Travel & Tours

What a fantastic day exploring the best of Detroit with our NEXT members! We enjoyed a guided city tour, a delicious lunch on the Riverfront at Andiamo, time to stroll along the Detroit RiverWalk, and a relaxing Diamond Jack’s River Cruise. 🌊

One of the highlights was seeing the incredible Gordie Howe International Bridge—an amazing symbol of connection between the U.S. and Canada and a stunning addition to Detroit’s skyline! 🌉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day filled with great sights, good company, and wonderful memories. We can’t wait for our next adventure together!

Enjoy a relaxing day trip aboard a deluxe motorcoach or van for a true fall Harvest Adventure. Our first stop is the beautifully restored White Horse Inn in Metamora, one of Michigan’s most historic dining destinations, where you'll enjoy a delicious included lunch with your choice of entrée. After lunch, we'll visit Westview Orchards & Winery in Washington Township. Take a scenic 30-minute wagon ride through the orchards, receive a complimentary bag of seasonal fruit to take home, and explore the charming farm market. We'll also visit the winery's stunning wine bar, where participants can enjoy a tasting of up to three wines while taking in the beautiful countryside views.
