Child hunger is closer than many people realize.
Across the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama’s 12-county service area, 20.5% of children face food insecurity. In Talladega County, that number is even higher at 26.4%.
Food insecurity means a child may not always know where their next meal is coming from. It can affect their health, their ability to focus in school, and their overall well-being.
At the Community Food Bank, we work alongside schools, community partners, donors, and volunteers to help provide food for children and families across central Alabama.
