East Ensley Library (Birmingham Public Library System)

East Ensley Library (Birmingham Public Library System) The East Ensley Neighborhood Branch Library is a community resource that focuses on helping children and adults become lifelong readers and library users.

It opened its doors in 1965 to serve Moore Elementary School, Councill Elementary School, Western-Olin High School and the neighborhood. In 1995 East Ensley branch library was renovated. The East Ensley library is one of 19 locations of the Birmingham Public Library system and one of 40 public library locations in Jefferson County, AL. The mission of the Birmingham Public Library is to provide the

highest quality library service to our citizens for lifelong learning, cultural enrichment and enjoyment.
