Last week, members of our United Way of Central Alabama team traveled to Las Vegas for the Meals on Wheels America Conference!

Karla Lawrence, Senior Vice President of Community Initiatives; Laysea Chasteen, Vice President of Senior Services; April McMaster, Meals on Wheels Program Director; and Liz Wilson, Vice President of Development, joined Meals on Wheels leaders from across the country to exchange ideas, build connections and learn more about strengthening services for older adults.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to learn from others and bring new ideas back to the communities we serve!

Help us welcome our newest class of Loaned Executives!

Over the next 13 weeks, they’ll work alongside United Way of Central Alabama to support our annual campaign, build new skills and connect with companies and communities across Central Alabama.

We’re excited to have them on board and can’t wait to see all they accomplish. Help us give them a warm welcome!

A big thank you to Live Oak Engineering, Inc. for recently volunteering in our Meals on Wheels kitchen!

Their helping hands supported the preparation of meals for older adults across Jefferson County and helped keep our kitchen moving so meals can make their way to neighbors who rely on them.

Call 1-800-AGE-LINE for information or to be screened for additional senior services.
