Good Afternoon! My name is Mary Haddow and I am a member of an organization at the University of Alabama called Camp Kesem. Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent's cancer. "Kesem" comes from the Hebrew word meaning "magic", and after being a part of this amazing organization you will truly see why it is named Camp Kesem. It gives the opportunity for children to just be kids for a week. As Public Relations and Marketing chair, I am in charge of getting the kids to be a part of the camp and also making Camp Kesem a known camp and opportunity among families who have been affected by cancer. Donations are appreciated, but also we'd love to have more campers. You can register your children on this website. We'd love to see them this summer! We still have spots available for Camp Kesem this summer so if you could reach out to anyone you believe would benefit from this, that would be greatly appreciated. If you would like more information on this amazing organization and how to get involved you can visit our website. You can also email me at [email protected]. Thank you so much for your time. Have a great day! Mary Haddow
