Free Friday Flicks

Free Friday Flicks UPDATE: We are postponing Free Friday Flicks at Veterans Park in Hoover due to our concern for the public's health during this pandemic. We are shooting to host an abbreviated run of movies later in the summer. We will keep you posted as we will all need a little fresh air, to get out of our houses, and some FREE entertainment! Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors and the community: Spire, ABC 33/40, Children's of Alabama, 97.3 Play, 106.9 Birmingham's Eagle, Bham Family, The City of Hoover and Backyard Movie Parties

We can provide outdoor movies for 10 to 5000 people, and have the equipment to host drive-in style movies!

All,

If you haven’t done so already, please log in to https://2020census.gov/ and respond to the census! If you didn’t receive a census card in the mail or misplaced your card, you’ll just need to input your address to complete the survey.

Census Day is observed nationwide on April 1. By this date, every home will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: online, by phone, or by mail. When you respond to the census, you'll tell the Census Bureau where you live as of April 1, 2020.

I know my kiddos love the book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxbury. Put a stuffed or paper bear in one of your windows for the kids to “hunt” while walking around the neighborhood!

We saw several in Broken Bow and my kiddos LOVED it! Let’s start it here! 😍🐻

Good morning, Meadow Brook!

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this very difficult time.

Please remember to check in with your elderly and immunocompromised neighbors. If you’re able, offer to tackle their grocery list so they can avoid the crowds.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers!

Reminder! Santa will make his annual ride down Meadow Brook Road today beginning at 1:00pm. Santa will have sweet treats for all the kids along Meadow Brook Road. A new twist this year, at the end of his ride, Santa will turn into the Primrose School Parking lot where he will be available for “Photo’s with Santa” until 2:45pm (if it is not raining).

As in years past, a truck will follow Santa and be collecting: canned goods for Oak Mountain Missions and blankets, books and toys for Project Night Night. Thank you for your support of these great charities.

Hope to see everyone today! Ho, Ho, Ho!

If you or someone you may know is looking for a preschool for your child, we are blessed to have a wonderful preschool program right here in our neighborhood. Meadow Brook Baptist Preschool, Kids of the Kingdom, is an outreach ministry of Meadow Brook Baptist Church. This preschool caters to children from the ages of 4 months to 5 years, which also includes a 5K program. Hours are from 9:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday with optional after school activities from 1:30 to 2:15 on Mondays and Wednesdays. The children are given the loving care and guidance that a child needs in their formative years. Each child is viewed as a unique child of God with individual needs, feelings, and capabilities. The primary focus of this program is to present a loving Christian environment in which each child can develop academically, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually.

The preschool Director, Lori Holmes, may be contacted at 205 980-2120 or email [email protected]. Please call or come by for a tour to learn more about this awesome program.

If anyone finds a child's Easton baseball bag (black) containing a tan and black a glove and neon green bat in the neighborhood and/or 280 west, it's ours! It seems it was on the back of my husband's truck when he left the house...and well, it's now missing 🤦‍♀️
This black dog with a red collar is on Skylark Drive! Would not let me catch him!
