‘I'm writing to urge you to sign and share this letter to Mercedes-Benz. Union busting is disgusting! Mercedes-Benz workers who build and repair the company's vehicles have faced a relentless campaign of illegal union busting from Mercedes management in the US. Join our friends, family, and neighbors who work at Mercedes in calling on the company to remain neutral in union organizing drives and follow the law.

Over the past few decades, Alabama has invested more than $1.6 billion in public incentives in the auto industry.

Auto workers in Alabama make less than the national average, and significantly less than workers in union dense Michigan. Notably, Alabama auto workers even make less now in many cases than they did 20-30 years ago in the state once adjusting for inflation.

The auto industry has been described by our governor and others as the "crown jewel" of Alabama's economy. The business and political class have worked hard to try to crush organizing among the 50k non-union auto workers in the state, portraying the UAW as an outside interest even though Alabama has a long, proud tradition of unionism (at one time, 1 in 4 Alabama workers were union members, more than any state today!).

Because Alabama's economy is intentionally underdeveloped, these are often some of the better jobs available to many of our neighbors, despite the inferior wages and benefits, brutal schedules, authoritarian management, and safety risks. The companies flaunt laws and rights to intimidate and lie to workers to keep them divided and fearful.

These companies come down here to enjoy this "Alabama discount" but we know that workers here deserve no less than workers anywhere.

If you work in the auto industry, I encourage you to connect with the UAW. If you know someone who works in the industry, talk to them about the power and value of unions and connect them with UAW. https://uaw.org/join/

If we want a better state for all of us, we must grow worker power and revitalize the labor movement. We must organize the non-union auto industry in the South if we want to shake up this status quo that's failing our people.’

FAIRHOPE, AL!

🏳️‍🌈LOVE makes a FAMILY🏳️‍🌈
🩷❤️💛🧡💚🩵💙💜

In a time when some “leaders” are trying to define what a “real” family looks like, we’re coming together to recognize a simple truth: families come in many forms, and ALL deserve love, dignity, and respect.

Single-parent families. LGBTQIA+ families. Blended families. Adoptive families. Grandparents raising grandchildren. Chosen families. Families connected by blood, love, commitment, and community.

Because what makes a family strong isn’t fitting into one narrow definition- it’s showing up for one another with love, support, empathy, and kindness.

On June 14th we will celebrate every family (including chosen family), every story, and every kind of love because we love our LGBTQIA+ neighbors, friends, and family.
Bring your signs, bring your pride, bring your family- however your family is formed.

Everyone is welcome. Everyone belongs.

🚨 Addressing June 14th Rumors 📢

Some of you were alerted to there being a No Kings nationwide day of protest planned for Sunday, June 14th, but that is incorrect. There was a misunderstanding and a misprint in an article that has since been corrected.

The event being promoted on June 14th is a concert in NYC, but it was not organized by No Kings. A collective called Committee for the First Amendment is hosting the concert. The No Kings coalition supports their efforts to disrupt the UFC fight on the White House lawn that will air at the same time that night, and to that effect they are encouraging people to host watch parties to livestream the concert for folks in their communities.

To find a watch party near you or to host one in your home or at a nearby establishment, go here: https://riseupsingout.com or https://www.nokings.org

The next nationwide day of action will be on Saturday, June 20th. You can learn about Freedom Summer at: https://freedomsummer2026.com

After that, the next nationwide day of action will be on Saturday, June 27th. You can learn about All of U.S. 250 at: https://allofus250.org

Across America, let’s make good trouble. We are facing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action. Join us from July 17th – July 19th as we:• TEACH our community members abou...
