I don’t have a separate document called a ‘Veterans Platform’ because veterans’ issues are woven throughout my healthcare, education, affordability, and community-service priorities. Last week had a great day at MY University touring sights rarely seen at BDS and listening to Coach Womack and Alabama football players who are making a difference on and off the field.
The University of Alabama is where I received my final formal education through the Alabama public school system. I am very proud of that and will always support Alabama public schools first and foremost and pray that funding for vocational schools and training will only grow!
And YES that includes all public schools. I also want to continue to see Alabama’s traditional HBCUs grow and prosper

Went to a meeting in Leeds today to try to find ways to help some of our most marginalized people. It was a morning well spent and hope I can be of some assistance.
Then I put out several signs. When I would stop at a home with a Jones sign the people were not only on board with having a sign or signs, they directed me to friends and neighbors who took signs and pledged support.
Am going to need to make a big order of more campaign material, so please consider donating. Democrats can make small donations go a long way. I have people making recurring donations as low as $1 a month

My girls. The little one went into nursing partially because of her sister’s illness and both are a big part of why healthcare is one third of my platform.

We must ensure that research does not fall out of the priorities of state and national lawmakers!

Heather wanted to know her life made a difference. Those of us who knew and loved her knew that, but now the world can know.
I am sure everyone is hearing about the breakthrough in melanoma treatment and we have identified that Heather’s clinical trials, which gave her 3 good years, was the precursor to research for the new Moderna vaccine. Dr Pavlick, at NYU Langone, led the clinical trial that played a significant role in where treatment for melanoma has gone today.
