Youth ACE (Academy for Civic Engagement) has officially kicked off at Carver High School! Every Thursday throughout the school year, students in the Law Enforcement Academy and JROTC will take a deep dive into the many facets of municipal government, where they will learn how our city works and how decisions are made, as well as learn how they can become active, informed leaders in their community.

Youth ACE is a partnership between the City of Birmingham Office of Public Affairs and the Department of Youth Services, designed to connect Birmingham’s young people with civic leadership, government, and real-world opportunities to make a difference.
