🚧 Improvements are happening all along U.S. 395 within the Bishop Pavement Project: new pavement, upgraded sidewalks, better drainage, and new pedestrian beacons.
The project is 72% complete, and all businesses along the corridor are accessible during construction. Paving operations begin this Sunday, June 14, at 4:00 pm at the Barlow Lane intersection. Crews will lay approximately 18,000 tons of asphalt this summer on U.S. 395 between Barlow Lane and Jay Street.
Along with paving, a temporary full closure of W. Line Street at the U.S. 395 intersection is on the horizon this summer for not only this project, but for the City of Bishop’s water-line replacement project. A finalized date is yet to be determined.
