We have new families moving into our Transitional Housing program AND WE NEED YOUR HELP. Many families arrive with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and need a lot of support to rebuild their lives. We're looking for donations of new or gently used furniture suited for small spaces--twin or double beds, chairs or loveseats, etc.

🚨Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil (R-Jackson) is proud to announce the Wild Iris Family Counseling & Crisis Center as Inyo County’s 2026 Nonprofit of the Year.

“For 45 years, Wild Iris has turned trauma into empowerment for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and abuse in our frontier communities.”

The Wild Iris Family Counseling & Crisis Center embodies the 2026 theme, “Transforming Loss into Legacy,” by meeting survivors at their most vulnerable moments with crisis intervention, emergency shelter, peer counseling, financial assistance, and legal advocacy. These services provide immediate safety while building long-term healing, independence, and renewed agency.

Position: Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Staff Advocate
Reporting Office: Bishop, CA
Pay Range: $26.25-$32.55
Job Type: Full-Time, hourly, non-exempt
Benefits: Employee retirement with employer contributions, medical insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick accruals.
(Benefits available after successful completion of introductory period.)

Job Description: The CASA Coordinator assists CASA staff and volunteers in the day-to-day operations and with special projects as well as provide advocacy for CASA youth.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist in the recruitment, training, support, and retention of CASA volunteers.
Organize and maintain case records and program databases. Support, assist with, and participate in the organization of events and activities which increase awareness and community investment in the program.
Advocate for youth in community settings such as court, school, social services, and medical appointments.
Write court reports based on the best interest of the youth and attend scheduled court hearings.
