Have your voice heard!! Inyo County is working on a Community Wildfire Protection Plan!
FROM INYO COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES:
Have you ever thought of what might happen if a wildfire threatened your home and community? What are the lessons you’ve learned from the many wildfires Inyo County, and likely your community, has experienced? Please share your concerns and ideas through the survey linked below as we come together to plan for safer communities.
Inyo County has contracted SWCA Environmental Consultants to develop the 2024 Inyo County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), which is an update to the pervious 2009 CWPP. A CWPP is used to identify and mitigate wildfire hazards to communities. The 2024 CWPP will build upon collaborative interagency efforts to reduce wildfire risk by reviewing and identifying new priority areas for wildfire protection efforts. CWPPs are designed to reflect the needs and concerns of each community. That means we need to hear from YOU!
In addition, to the survey, we will host an in-person event on 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟎 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟔𝐩𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝟖𝐩𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 #𝟏 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟗 𝐖 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐭. Please join us to learn more about how the CWPP can improve your community’s resilience and to share your wildfire-related concerns and priorities.
