December hit us like a tube sock full of nickels! Two back to back weekends in Joshua Tree with & Not to mention running two businesses in between! 🌀

Huge congrats to Seth & Sabra and their crew for pulling off the first premier bouldering - conservation event. Pretty huge considering the growth of the sport and the fragility of the natural resources that bring the best out of us. Seeing that team connect and build with their community was something special.

and gave expert guidance on bolt removal, replacement as well as anchor safety assessment during our clinic at event.

Dinner with , barrel rolls in ‘s plane and copious amounts of ice cream. Huge thanks to Zach Shields for letting the crew rest and relax on his compound 👽

The 29 Palms Rock Rumble Royale is a responsible land use, environmental awareness bouldering competition and the first of its kind in the climbing industry!

At its roots, this is a climb for a cause event, and the hosts and organizers at Cliffhanger Guides are proud to be partnering with the Mojave Desert Land Trust, Joshua Tree National Park Association, and Friends of Joshua Tree.

The 29 Palms Rock Rumble Royale presentation portion, as well as its vendor village, will be hosted inside of Twentynine Palms Community Center at Freedom Plaza, with all climbing taking place within Joshua Tree National Park. Registration on Friday night will include a bouldering slide show by the iconic Stone Masters, and Saturday night will include the awards ceremony for competing climbers, followed by a dance party, and late-night after party at Out There Bar.

Can’t wait to see all you holistic hoes and crystal lickin lizards out there!

1st ANNUAL 29 PALMS ROCK RUMBLE ROYALE -BOULDER COMP AND CONSERVATION EVENT 🦎

Bouldering in Joshua Tree National Park has a rich and dynamic history, beginning in the mid-20th century. The park, known for its unique rock formations and stunning desert landscapes, started attracting climbers in the 1950s. Early pioneers like John L. “Jack” G.
O’Malley and Royal Robbins set the stage for rock climbing in the area, focusing primarily on traditional climbing.
The bouldering scene gained momentum in the 1970s and 1980s as climbers began to recognize the potential of the park’s massive boulders. It became a premier destination, thanks to its abundant high-quality granite boulders and diverse problems. The
“Bouldering in Joshua Tree” community grew, with influential climbers like Chris Sharma and others contributing to the popularity of the sport.
As the years went on, the park saw the establishment of numerous bouldering problems, ranging from easy to extremely challenging. The topographic diversity, along with seasonal weather conditions, made it a year-round climbing destination.

THE FIRST OF A NEW GENERATION
The Puput Wide quickdraw is ideal for wall climbing, designed to comfortably carabiner the plate thanks to its characteristic nose. Its large size offers very comfortable manoeuvrability. With a large friction zone, it extends the life of the rope and carabiner.

The Wide version is distinguished by its 25 mm wide polyamide draw, which facilitates a comfortable hand grip, ideal for projecting and lead climbing. Its greater width also prevents the set from twisting once placed on the wall. Additionally, the inner rubber ensures that the rope carabiner stays firmly in place.

The quickdraw is available in 3 lengths: 12 cm, 18 cm and 24 cm.
